In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches a rolling boil.
Allow the mixture to boil for about 4-5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla extract and pecans.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish or onto parchment paper.
Let it cool completely until it hardens.
Cut into squares or break into pieces and enjoy!
