Garlic Herb Butter Steak

Garlic Herb Butter Steak: A quick and flavorful recipe featuring tender sirloin steaks seared to perfection and topped with a rich garlic herb butter made from fresh rosemary, thyme, and parsley. Ready in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 2 sirloin steaks, each about 1-inch thick
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Steaks:
Begin by seasoning both sides of the sirloin steaks generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Let them sit for a few minutes to allow the seasoning to absorb.

2. Sear the Steaks:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the pan. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, carefully place the seasoned steaks into the skillet. Sear each side for about 4-5 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness. For medium-rare, aim for this time frame. Adjust the cooking time slightly for rare or well-done steaks.

3. Rest the Steaks:
Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside on a plate to rest. This helps the juices redistribute through the meat, making the steak tender and flavorful.
